Doug Drexler and Daren Dochterman recently posted beauty shots of their excellent Enterprise models on their blogs, so while scenes from Act I are in the render farm hopper I thought I’d provide you guys an embiggened peek at the Gray Lady from what I felt were some of the more successful clips in the teaser. First up is my favorite of the “red planet of the week” shots from the opening credits…
She *is* a beautiful lady...
Our hero Captain Kirk may have been trying to short out the space babe robots in “I, Mudd” when he exclaimed that the Enterprise “is a beautiful lady and we all love her!”, but darn it… she is, and we do!

Thank you Andrew. :) This was lifted almost untouched from the 720×480 clip with only a couple of positioning changes to take better advantage of a 1920×1080 render, but at some point I think I’m going to come back and fiddle with the tilt of the Enterprise so we can see a bit more of the bridge dome, and perhaps liven up the starscape background a bit. Still, I have to say that I’m pretty pleased with this shot. :) Thanks for the feedback!
